I look for truth and beauty...

I have been photographing performers from stage, screen and television as well as the opera stage for twenty years, both in New York and Chicago. My career began with the honor of studying with Phillippe Halsman, whose work graced more than 100 Life Magazine covers.

My philosophy of the photographic portrait is simple. It is a record of a precise moment in life; one that heightens individuality, and stimulates our interest. Most people stiffen with self-consciousness when they pose for a photograph. Expensive lighting and photographic equipment are useless if the photographer cannot make his subject drop the mask and forget their nervousness, at least for a moment, so that the photographer can capture their real, undistorted personality and character. The rapport we develop is the most essential tool in achieving this goal.

My services are perfect for anyone who desires a fine portrait. Whether the photograph is for professional use or personal, the experience is fun, satisfying, and rewarding. The shooting session is private, and any reasonable request will be honored.

The fee for portraits is $275 for one roll and $475 for three rolls.
