In 1996 I moved into my personally designed studio and duplexed living space in W. Bucktown. After spending six months designing on paper I began building out the space in late August of 1995. The 2000 sq.ft. loft is based solely on function, form and design. I transformed an old broken down rectangular corner unit, formerly a ladies brassiere factory, into an award winning live/work space. Its hi-tech design coupled with comfortable modular furniture and walls hung with beautiful 20th century modern photography lends to a romantic and comfortable environment. The state of the art darkroom functions to produce all portraiture produced in the shooting area. The 18ft ceiling adds a very special feeling of height and drama. The studio is lit with expertly placed multi-task hi-tech fixtures that in the evening turns the space into a glamorous and festive environment. The studio faces south and west and has a perfect view of sunset. It was specifically designed and built to make shooting of utmost comfort.
